Legazpi – too much excitement

Legazpi is known to be the home of the famous cone-shaped Mayon  volcano but it was all about the Adrenaline rush for the kids. With ATV rides, zip lines, waterfalls and volcanic beaches. We had a great tricycle driver that we met by chance – JR who took us everywhere for the 3 days. It was here that we experienced manyana in its finest form. The hotel staff were just horrendous and frustrating to say the least.

Mount Mayon under cloud at Daraga Church

First stop was Daraga and it’s beautiful old church. After a typical jeepney journey – pack as many as you can in and hang a few off the back for good measure, we arrived in 36 degree heat. The view of the almost perfect cone Mayon Volcano from here is fantastic. Unfortunately the top of Mt Mayon was MIA the day we were there.
