When a space looks great empty……

You know it can only get so much better, especially with fitting out happening this week. We finally look like we are on the home stretch! All the internal walls are finished, skirts are on, cornice done, man hole moved to laundry (long story), window seat in and bathrooms are ready for tiling. With the painting, tiling, kitchen install and cupboard internals happening over the next 2 weeks we are definitely still on target for an October handover. With the terrible weather we have been having I am starting to have second thoughts on whether we should have installed central heating……

Mary came down for a visit last week and got to spend an icy windy saturday watching kids play sport! We managed to fit in a visit to the land for a bonfire picnic before the weather truly set in which was nice. The weather hasn’t managed to stop us getting out and about to the local farmers markets – we have been averaging at least one a weekend for this last month, including Maldon. We revisited the Newbridge Road on the way so Robin could proudly view his handiwork!

The kids have had a busy term with winter sports due to finish up in the next 2 weeks, and book week this week. We are gearing up for Jemima’s birthday party this weekend – she is so excited, probably due to the fact that her awful mother didn’t give her a party last year! We are off to build a bear in Doncaster with her friends in tow. Apparently she has the ipod playlist ready for the 2hr car drive -can’t wait for that one!
